Exploring the Outdoors Television
Series is a half hour television series revolving around the many
exciting subjects and activities found in the great outdoors. We specialize in hunting and fishing features, but "Exploring the Outdoors" is produced with the true outdoor family in mind. That means
segments covering many favorite outdoor activities including: hunting, fishing, camping, RV/motorhome destinations, mountain biking, cooking, winter sports, kids and women in the outdoors, archery, shooting sports,
conservation or any other of a long list of activities. Our home state of Pennsylvania is regarded as tops in the
nation for outdoor enthusiast numbers, selling more than a million hunting licenses annually. Born and raised among the hills of northeastern Pennsylvania, the show's producer and host, Ron Tussel knows the many
things that the outdoors has to offer like no other. Through his years of professional writing and broadcasting, he has brought the outdoor experience to the hearts and minds of many, sharing the true experience and
feeling that can only come from a deeply ingrained desire to communicate what our outdoor heritage is all about. Add to that events and activities from around the country, and you have an outdoor show that aims to
please all who love the outdoor experience.

Exploring the Outdoors Television Series Voted Best in
Pennsylvania
During a presentation ceremony at the fall conference of the
Pennsylvania Outdoor Writer’s Association, held in West Middlesex recently, Ron
Tussel, Producer and Host of Exploring the Outdoors Television Series, was
honored with the Lantz Hoffman Memorial Award for the best outdoor television
show in Pennsylvania.
Tussel’s show was reviewed among the many other entries, by
a committee of non-partisan panelists, and judged to be the best. Judges
critiqued entries for production quality, graphics, audio and video quality,
writing and message conveyed.
“This is a true honor”, said Tussel, “to have our show
selected from among the other great outdoor productions in Pennsylvania, makes
me feel like all the hard work and long hours are really worth it. We try
hard to bring the viewers good entertainment by providing tips and facts, while
representing the image of hunters and anglers in the true and proper light, as
conservationists and sportsmen and women.”
Exploring the Outdoors has been on the air for eight years,
airing locally and nationally on The Outdoor Channel as well as throughout the
northeast on cable and broadcast. The show is a half hour series and
portrays action packed outdoor adventures.
